Ashley Solano

Echoes of Dreams combines elements of the long and flowing lyrical lines reminiscent of Romantic music, harmonies inspired by the Impressionist period as well as tinges of rhythmic drive and surprising dissonances of Latin American folk music.

It was composed for Ashley’s 3rd year minor assessment as a Performer/Composer BMus (Hons) at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance where he was tasked with composing a piano piece between 8 and 12 minutes.

Mariposa Neón

Mariposa Neón depicts a vision of future events whilst being guided through them by an other-worldly butterfly fluttering around with neon brilliance.

Crepúsculo

Crepúsculo captures the inner struggle of reflecting on one’s own transgressions and resolving to instead live a more virtuous life.

Harlequín

Harlequin is about someone with a loving but overly harsh sense of humour going around and proclaiming the gospel.
